As a electric bus mechanic at Orion Bus Partners, you play a key role in modern public transport. Orion is a fleet management leader, dedicated to 'unburdening' transport companies by maintaining their fleets to the highest standard. You will work on the backbone of urban mobility, maintaining everything from traditional diesel coaches to the latest zero-emission electric buses. You will be responsible for fixing and checking public transport vehicles. You will:
Register and track bus components in the digital maintenance system
Diagnose and resolve malfunctions in electric drive and high-voltage systems
Perform periodic maintenance and safety checks on city buses and coaches
Update firmware and software on different vehicle control units
Repair and maintain steering, suspension, and braking systems
Work on passenger-facing technology like digital displays and payment systems
You will work from Monday to Friday between 07:00 and 17:00. There is a possibility of working in the evening shift, which gives you a 30% shift allowance.
You are a technical person who likes fixing things. You have:
A NEN 9140 certificate or the willingness to obtain it within 2 months
Experience with passenger cars, commercial vehicles, or trucks
Good communication skills in English or Dutch
Interest in modern electric vehicle (EV) technology
A category B driving license to travel to your workplace
