The Head of Operations has overall responsibility for the management and performance of the operational organization within their own unit. From a strategic and financial perspective, the Head of Operations focuses on revenue, margin, quality and continuity. The Head of Operations reports to the Operations Director and manages the Operations Leads.

Key Activities

Define and execute the operational strategy and annual plans
Monitor and adjust financial and operational performance, including revenue, margin, productivity and absenteeism
Responsible for planning and organizing QBRs and strategic meetings, including preparing and developing agendas and discussion materials
Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts and risk analyses
Present results, forecasts and risks to management and stakeholders (top management, BC meetings & MBR)
Strategic relationship management with key accounts and internal stakeholders
Manage, coach and assess Operations Leads
Initiate and manage improvement and change initiatives within Operations
Safeguard OTTO values, quality, safety and continuity of service
Oversee pool management at tactical and strategic level

Responsibilities

Overall responsibility for P&L, revenue and margin development
Establish and ensure compliance with operational policies
Strategic customer management and sustainable customer relationships
Budgeting, forecasting and risk management
Compliance, audits and adherence to laws and regulations
Development of employees, leadership and the organization
Quality, continuity and operational excellence within Operations

Authority

Make strategic and operational decisions within established frameworks
Decision-making authority regarding contract policies for flexible employees (including OT, TV and shortening notice periods)
Prepare decisions and proposals for management
Manage, assess and develop managers within Operations

Job and Education Requirements

Higher professional (HBO) / university (WO) level of working and thinking
Experience in a senior operational management position
Experience with P&L responsibility and strategic stakeholder management
Strong financial and analytical skills
Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
