About OTTO Work Force
OTTO Work Force is the largest international temporary employment agency in the Netherlands and runner up in Europe. Through our 12 offices in the Netherlands, United Kingdom and Central and Eastern Europe we deploy our employees to work in the Netherlands, United Kingdom and Poland. In the Netherlands alone around 3.000 people work for OTTO clients every day. OTTO Work Force is particularly renowned for its extensive recruiting and selection methods, the good support structure for its employees, correct payment system, providing transport to and from work, supervision on the work floor, good accommodation and social support.
History
OTTO Work Force was set up in 2000 by three dynamic Dutch entrepreneurs (one called Otto) who noticed that there were Polish citizens with German passports (for historic reasons related to the Second World War). Poland was not an EU member state at that point but thanks to their German passports these Polish citizens qualified to work in the Dutch labour market. What started as a miniscule niche in the borders and the market soon resulted in a daily influx of migrant workers from Poland to the Netherlands. From humble beginnings in 2000 with one small office in Venlo and one in Opole (Poland) a small staff compliment and a handful of temporary migrant employees for their first client, OTTO Work Force has grown into the biggest temporary employment agency in the Netherlands and runner up in Europe.
In no time OTTO Work Force became market leader and above all the trendsetter. Due to the rapid growth the head office was relocated to Venray where there are now in excess of 150 permanent employees, 10 recruitment offices in Central and Eastern Europe and over 10,000 migrant employees on their books. They also have an operation in the UK and a dedicated, permanent agent in South Africa. The OTTO Work Force strategy for selection and recruitment, employee accommodation and fair treatment of its employees is considered to be state of the art in the industry.
Organisation
Frank van Gool, founder and CEO of OTTO Work Force, is the major shareholder and drives the business. The OTTO Work Force Head Office is in Venray (Netherlands) where about 150 permanent staff of different nationalities is employed for the day to day running of the organisation. OTTO Work Force has an extensive office network throughout Poland and also has offices in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the United Kingdom. There is a permanent, dedicated OTTO Work Force representative in South Africa.
In the Netherlands OTTO Work Force temporary employees are housed in large-scale accommodation facilities – bungalow parks, hotels, apartment blocks and OTTO World (more later) in 15 different locations all of which are run and managed by OTTO Work Force.
